Colette Lynch was killed by her ex-boyfriend Percy Wright only two days after he had smashed a window at her home in Rugby and threatened to "slit her throat".

The police were called but Wright who was a delusional psychotic was not arrested or detained.

In 2005 Hayley Richards 23, who was 3 months pregnant was attacked by her Portuguese boyfriend of 10 months, 25 year old Hugo Quintas, it was reported to the police and they had a warrant out on him, she had even told them where they could find him, instead they were busy rescuing a dog trapped in a car and weren't re-deployed to search for him afterwards . One week later Richards had her throat slit and Quintas had fled to Spain.

In March 2004 show jumper Tania Moore 26, broke off her engagement to Mark Dyche only to be stalked for the next year by him. Ms Moore had complained to the police several times but nothing happened and he shot her at point range in a country lane.

Every week, two women in the UK die at the hands of current or former partners. Most of these deaths are predictable and preventable.

Its disgusting that these crimes just get dismissed as "just a domestic" it shows a lack of Police training and a weakness in the law. Weemen have to be protected from these nutjobs.
